I have worked as an award-winning print and online journalist, editor, copywriter and project manager for the past 12 years, and now freelance for consumer and B2B press, creative agencies and Government bodies.
As a journalist, my specialist areas include health and wellbeing, pharmacy, business and lifestyle issues. As a copywriter I have worked on a variety of projects for customers including property developers, healthcare providers, and leisure and tourism companies.
Immediately before joining the freelance world I worked at the Met Office as its in-house editor, and prior to that I spent three years at CMP Information, first as the news editor on a weekly graphic arts journal, and then as business editor on a leading weekly pharmaceutical journal.
In these roles I managed a team of reporters, freelancers and agencies and was responsible for editing, writing and commissioning news and features for print and online publication, as well as working on lobbying campaigns which attracted Government attention and contributed to policy debate.
I have also contributed to Geographical magazine and the Independent on Sunday, and written about health, fashion, travel and the arts for a variety of consumer publications.
